Welcome Aboard

BLOG – Eric the Red here, I will be facilitating this blog that will chronicle the travels of Still Waters II as she travels around America’s Great Loop with her crew.

Many have asked why I have taken on this task.  The simple answer is who is best qualified to guide the crew of two around The Loop aboard a Viking Yacht?  Well only the best Viking ever, and that would be me of course.

Unlike Ernest Shackleton who had to post the following want add for crew in 1914 aboard the Endurance:

“MEN WANTED: FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOUR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS.

SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON”
